Musculoskeletal Cancers

Musculoskeletal Cancers affect the bones or the soft tissues or the muscle system of the body. This includes bone carcinoma, that originates in the bones or a metastatic carcinoma that may have originated elsewhere and has gradually started affecting the bones.

Osteosarcoma

Osteosarcoma is a cancer of the bones, that originate in the cells forming the tissues of the bone. Largely found in the long bones of the body, the condition is primarily evidenced in young patients. Swelling at joints, persistent joint/bone pain and inexplicable fractures of the bones indicate osteosarcoma.

Chondrosarcoma

Chondrosarcoma is a rare cancer form affecting the bones and soft structures surrounding the bones. The condition largely affects the pelvis, hips, and the shoulder bones. However, in some very rare cases also affects the bones in the skull.

Ewing's Sarcoma

Ewing’s sarcoma is a rare cancer form affecting the bones and soft structures surrounding the bones. The condition is more common in children and teenagers, but it can occur at any age. The malignant cells often originate in the legs and in the pelvis, but it can also occur in any bones.
