Pancreatic Cancer

Overview

image

Pancreatic cancer is cancer that initiates when the cells of the pancreas divide and grow without any control. Pancreatic cancer starts from two types of cells, i.e., neuroendocrine and exocrine cells. Cancer of the exocrine cells is relatively more common and is diagnosed at an advanced stage. Neuroendocrine cell cancer is less common and has a relatively better prognosis. Pancreatic cancer is rarely detected at the earlier stages as the patients do not experience any symptoms until the disease progresses in the advanced stage.
