Brain tumor Screening
Currently, there are no widely accepted screening procedures for brain and spinal cord tumors. Many brain tumors are found when someone goes to a doctor because of the signs or symptoms they have. Primary brain tumors are rare and hence are not screened for any specific tests. The easiest way to detect a brain tumor early is to visit the doctor frequently for a comprehensive physical exam and the patient should immediately mention any new alarming symptoms. People with genetic defects predisposing them to the production of primary brain tumors should get regular brain imaging scans to check for some signs of abnormalities.
