Dr Harjot Kaur Bajwa is one of the most passionate and best cancer specialists in Hyderabad. She is associated with American Oncology Institute, Hyderabad as a Consultant Radiation Oncologist & Brachytherapy Specialist. Dr Harjot is highly skilled in advanced techniques of external and internal radiation such as 3DCRT, IMRT, IGRT, SRS and SBRT, intracavitary brachytherapy and interstitial brachytherapy. Her keen areas of interest are gynecological cancers, head and neck cancers, soft tissue sarcomas, and prostate and rectal cancers.
After completing her training at Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute, Dr Harjot completed her Fellowship in Interstitial Brachytherapy at the world-renowned University of California San Francisco, USA under the supervision of Professor I- Chow Hsu.
Dr Harjot has a prolific research record with numerous peer-reviewed publications and many oral presentations at national and international conferences. Apart from being awarded the AROI- American Brachytherapy Society fellowship at UCSF, USA, she has also been a visiting scholar at the prestigious Washington University in St Louis, USA. Dr Harjot is also a reviewer for oncology articles under Elsevier publications.
Prior to joining AOI, Hyderabad, Dr Harjot worked as a Consultant Radiation Oncologist and Brachytherapy Specialist at some of the prestigious multi-specialty hospitals in India and abroad.
During an illustrious career spanning over a decade, Dr Harjot has delivered professional talks in various scientific forums. She is an executive committee member of the Indian Brachytherapy Society and is a member of several prestigious medical associations, including the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI), the Indian Society of Oncology, the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO), and American Brachytherapy Society (ABS).
