Dr. Dhanabir Thangjam is one of the most experienced and best cancer specialists in Manipur. He is associated with American Oncology Institute, Imphal as a Consultant Surgeon (Surgical Oncologist).
Dr. Thangjam earned his MBBS from the College of Medical Sciences, Bharatpur, Nepal in 2004 and DNB in General Surgery from Yashoda Hospital, Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh in 2011.
Dr. Thangjam completed his Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS) from the Association of Minimal Access Surgery of India (AMASI) in 2015 and Fellowship – Surgical Oncology from Tata Medical Center, Kolkata in 2016.
To further hone his skills, Dr Thangjam pursued a Basic and Advanced Laparoscopy Surgery training course at Ethicon Institute of Surgical Education, Chennai, and Endo Suturing and Knotting at AMASICON, Indore (M.P).
Dr. Thangjam has various publications and research papers to his credit. He is a member of several prestigious institutes and associations, including the Association Surgeons of India (ASI), Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI), Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (IASO), and Manipur Oncology Society, Imphal.
