Dr Deepak Abrol is one of the most experienced and best radiation oncologists in Jammu & Kashmir. His areas of expertise include Neuro-Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, Gastrointestinal Oncology and Head & Neck Oncology.
He is associated with American Oncology Institute, Jammu as a Sr Consultant Radiation Oncologist. Dr Abrol earned his MBBS from the prestigious Government Medical College, Jammu and completed his MD in Radiotherapy from Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar. Among many prestigious Fellowships, Dr Abrol has been awarded a Fellowship from the Indian College of Radiation Oncology and AROI International Travel Fellowship.
Dr Abrol has over two decades of rich experience in the field of radiation oncology. Prior to joining American Oncology Institute, Jammu, Dr Abrol worked as a Sr Consultant – Radiation Oncology at some of the prestigious multi-specialty hospitals in India and overseas. Dr Abrol takes a keen interest in teaching and research works. He has been involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical training in India throughout his career.
Dr Abrol has many scientific publications to his credit. He is Editor of The Integrated Indian Journal of Cancer Sciences, Assistant Editor of the Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Care and IJSPRO, Peer Reviewer of some of the reputed journals and Author of a book on cancer awareness.
Dr Abrol is a member of several prestigious medical associations, including the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India and the Indian Society of Oncology. He is Vice President of the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (North Zone Chapter) and the State Coordinator of the Indian Society of Clinical Oncology.
Dr Abrol has won numerous accolades in his career, including the CME Excellence Dronacharya Award, Indian Glory Award, Asian Education Award and Appreciation Award by the Government of Madhya Pradesh for his extraordinary contributions to the field of Radiation Oncology.
