Post-treatment, the oncologists often recommend follow-up visits for cervical cancer survivors as it helps to determine any signs of cancer recurrence and manage the side effects of cancer treatment. The scheduled follow-up visit in women with a higher risk of recurrence is usually every three months in an initial couple of years, every six months for 3 to 5 years, and annually after that. If the cancer specialists detect any symptoms or clinical findings, they may recommend the patients undergo further examination.
