Dr Shailesh H Bamborde graduated as MBBS from the Dr Punjabrao Deshmukh Medical College, Amravati, in the year 2008. Stepping up further in his academic profile, he continued with higher studies to pursue MD in Internal Medicine and later DM in Clinical Hematology from the renowned Seth G S Medical college and KEM hospital Mumbai, respectively. During his DM training he went for bone marrow transplant training under Dr Naveen Khattry at Tata Memorial Hospital, ACTREC, Mumbai.
Dr Shailesh H Bamborde was a privileged fellow in Hematopoetic stem cell transplant, the only curative option for variety of hematological disorders, at the renowned Tata Medical centre, Kolkata under the guidance of Padma Shree Dr Mammen Chandy, Father of Hematology and Stem cell transplant of India.
Over the years, he has gained vast clinical experience and has performed total of 100 Autologous and Allogeneic transplants which include Matched related, Matched unrelated and Haplo transplants for benign and malignant disorders of blood to date.
He holds special expertise in diagnosing and treating Acute and Chronic leukemia (Blood cancer), Myeloma(Bone cancer) and Lymphoma(Cancer of lymphatic system). He is also expert in management of hereditary disorders in children like Thalassemia, Sickle cell anemia and bleeding disorders including prenatal diagnosis and genetic counseling of families. He is also experienced in the management of pregnancy related blood disorders, acquired and congenital blood clotting disorder. Dr Shailesh’s skills encompass the administration of chemotherapy and the management of complications arising from high intensity chemotherapy.
