Throat is a muscular tube that begins behind your nose and ends in your neck. There are multiple organs present in the throat, such as the larynx, commonly called the voice box, pharynx, vocal cords and tonsils, etc. When cells of any part of the throat mutate and divide uncontrollably, it results in the development of throat cancer. Throat cancer usually initiates in the cells forming the upper layer (lining) of the throat.
