  • Stage 1 : Cancer spreads to lymph nodes at both sides of the neck.
  • Stage 2 : Cancer is limited to the uppermost layer of the nasopharynx.
  • Stage 3 : Cancer spreads to the nasal cavity or back of the throat.
  • Stage 4 : Cancer spreads to the lymph node at one side of the neck.
  • Stage 5 : Cancer spreads to the eye, skull, salivary glands, or cranial nerves. It also spreads to distant organs.
