Symptoms

    The symptoms of ear cancer depend upon the site of the tumor. The symptoms experienced by the patients based on locations are:

    • Earflap: The symptoms of a tumor developed on the ear flap are:
        Sore or spot on the ear flat that does not go away within a month
        Bleeding and ulceration
        Itching on the mole
    • Ear canal: The symptoms of tumor growth in the ear canal are:
        Ear discharge
        Persistent ear pain
        Facial weakness
        Hearing loss
        Ear bleeding
        Presence of a lump in the ear canal
    • Middle ear: The symptoms of tumor growth in the middle ear includes:
        Persistent ear pain
        Loss of hearing
        Inability to move the face at the side of the affected ear
    • Internal ear: The symptoms of tumor growth in the inner ear include:
        Loss of hearing
      Headache
        Dizziness
        Ringing in the ear (tinnitus)
        Persistent ear pain
    • Patients with ear cancer may also experience swelling of the neck lymph nodes.
