Stage 1 :
In this stage, there is a single tumor larger than 2 cm and grown into the blood vessels or more than one tumor with none a size larger than 5 cm.
Stage 2 :
In stage 3, there is more than one tumor, and at least one tumor is greater than 5 cm, or at least one tumor of any size has invaded a major branch of the hepatic and portal vein. The tumor does not spread to lymph nodes or distant organs.
Stage 3 :
In this stage, single or multiple tumors of any size invade the lymph nodes or spread to distant organs.
Stage 4 :
In stage 1, there is a single tumor >2 cm that has not grown to the nearby blood vessels, lymph nodes, or distant sites.
