When to see a doctor
People, especially those with an increased risk of developing liver cancer, should immediately consult the doctor if they experience any of the above-mentioned symptoms of liver cancer.
Apart from these, the patients may also experience extrahepatic symptoms due to spreading cancer to other organs. Thus, people who experience symptoms, which are of concern, should immediately make an appointment with the doctor.
The symptoms of advanced liver cancer depend upon the organ to which liver cancer spreads. If liver cancer spreads to the lungs, the patients experience chest pain, shortness of breath, coughing, and fluid accumulation around the lungs.
There is an increased risk of bone fractures if cancer spreads to bones.
